Closed Gate

A fragrance with a very short list of notes and a very long aftertaste. It opens resinous and sharp: labdanum immediately makes itself known with a thick amber viscosity and a subtle leathery edge, while Sichuan pepper adds a tingling, almost electric spice. At the heart, fresh stem-like greenery appears as a contrast to the resins, while creamy sandalwood and black pepper bring woody dryness. Then labdanum returns in a different form: beside vanilla it loses its sharpness and becomes warm, honeyed, and balsamic, while white musk wraps everything in a soft veil. A case where a simple structure produces a highly unusual result — resinous, spicy, and slightly mysterious.
