Vento Nel Vento

A wind carrying incense smoke — perhaps the simplest way to describe the feeling. It opens unexpectedly: soft peony petals are pierced by pink pepper and resinous elemi with its lemony, menthol-like freshness. The heart moves deeper as incense weaves a dry smoky thread, black licorice adds dark anise sweetness and white musk softens the contrasts. The finish is the most refined part: oud, sandalwood and patchouli create a dense woody foundation, labdanum and benzoin add balsamic warmth, while white amber illuminates the entire composition with an almost skin-like glow.
